Mambo (also known as Salsa new York style.) is a salsa style that is marked on the second count in the musical phrase, following the pattern of the conga drums and the clave. Salsa on2 was born in New York in the 1970, developed by Eddie Torres, also known as the Mambo King. The style is elegant and smooth, other characteristics are complicated and flashy footwork combinations as well as intricate partnerwork and style for social dancing. In Salsakompaniet all our classes on2 are under the concept La Casa del Mambo, developed by Jazzy Ruiz.
